Yesterday, we asked our Twitter faithful: If you were in charge of programming, who would you bring to Spoleto USA 2011? Here’s what they said:
Brendan James is a singer-songwriter from Derry, NH. You might have heard his songs played in some of your favorite shows (Private Practice, Bones, So You Think You Can Dance, and Army Wives). Hear his music on MySpace.
For 15 years, Angel Corella has been a darling at the American Ballet Theater. A native of Spain, he formed his own company called Corella Ballet Castilla y León while also performing principal roles with the ABT.
Watch him dance “Le Corsaire” in this clip:
Zakir Hussain is considered a master of the tabla, an Indian percussion instrument. He is “considered a chief architect of the contemporary world music movement” and has performed with the likes of George Harrison, YoYo Ma and Van Morrison.
Watch him perform on the Masters of Percussion 2004 Tour.
Improv Everywhere plus La Traviatta’s “Drinking Song,” this is what Cheryl Smithem would love to see at next year’s Spoleto. Â That should keep all of us on our toes!

Strange this post is totaly unrelated to what I was searching google for, but it was listed on the first page. I guess your doing something right if Google likes you enough to put you on the first page of a non related search.
